A Westchester County man has been resentenced to federal prison for running one of the world’s largest online marketplaces for stolen data and for possessing child sexual abuse material, prosecutors announced.
Conor Brian Fitzpatrick, 22, of Peekskill, received a three-year prison sentence on Tuesday, Sept. 16, the US Department of Justice announced.
Prosecutors said Fitzpatrick admitted to creating and operating BreachForums, an English-language hacking site launched in March 2022 that quickly grew to more than 330,000 members.

Man Stabbed By Uncle During Altercation At NY Home, Police Say
A man has been charged with felony assault after allegedly stabbing his nephew during a violent altercation at a home in Westchester, police announced.
The events leading to the arrest began at around 3 a.m. on Sunday, June 15, when troopers responded to a Sunoco gas station in Peekskill after receiving a report of a stabbing. There, they met with the victim, a 35-year-old Peekskill resident, who had called 911, New York State Police said on Thursday, Aug. 7.

Man Attempts To Set Fire To Hudson Valley Deli With Customers, Employees Inside: Police
A former deli employee in the region was nabbed for allegedly attempting to light a business on fire with employees and customers inside.
The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Main Street Deli & Grocery at 390 Main St. in Beacon.
According to Beacon Police Chief Thomas Figlia, after arriving on the scene, officers identified Westchester resident Shane Williams, age 39, of Peekskill, as the suspect.
The chief said a former employee, Willams, had poured lighter fluid on the building and attempted to ignite it with customers and employees inside.

Eatery To Close Northern Westchester Location: 'I Am Not Giving Up,' Owner Says
A Northern Westchester eatery will soon be closing for good, its owner announced.
Blondery, a bakery in Peekskill at 922 Main St., will open for its last day on Sunday, Aug. 25, owner Auzerais Bellamy announced in a blog post.
The bakery, which opened in November 2022 as a retail space for the business's online storefront, specializes in gourmet blondies, layer cakes, doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, and dog treats.
According to Bellamy, the business's birth in Peekskill came about by happenstance.
