Going Once: Hotel In Hudson Valley To Be Sold At Auction After several years of being operated by a management company, a popular, well-appointed hotel in the region is being auctioned next month. According to Ten-X, the 121-room Holiday Inn Express in Dutchess County on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie will be auctioned on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The company-owned property was originally put up for sale in 2020, but it was pulled due to the pandemic and market plunges.  Ten-X says the property is offered unencumbered by management and debt. Tax Breaks For Holiday Inn Express Approved By Orange County IDA WALLKILL, N.Y. -- A Holiday Inn Express is coming to Walkill. The Orange County Industrial Development Agency recently approved tax breaks for the $14.93 million, 93-room, 54,280-room Holiday Inn Express and Suites Hotel, set to open in spring 2019 at 599 East Main Street, according to the Times Herald-Record. Construction is set to begin next month. The project will create 28 jobs, 18 full-time and 10 part-time, according to the Times Herald-Record.
