Woman Hit By Garbage Truck While Crossing Roadway In Hudson Valley A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a garbage truck while crossing a street in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland County around 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8 in Spring Valley. According to Det. Matthew Galli, of the Spring Valley Police, the 67-year-old woman was hit by a garbage truck while crossing Division Street. She was transported to Westchester Medical Center with critical injuries, Galli said. Additional information was not immediately available. This is a developing story. Garbage Truck Crashes Into Home In Region New York State Police are investigating after a garbage truck crashed into a home in the region.  Troopers responded to a report that the truck crashed into a home in the Sullivan County Town of Callicoon at about 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, according to State Police. Police said the 56-year-old driver was unable to stop the vehicle before crashing into the home, located in the area of Fremont Street and Railroad Avenue.
