Man Killed In Crash At Hauppauge Intersection A man was killed after a crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened around 5:20 a.m. Thursday, July 7 in Hauppauge. The man was driving a 2011 Buick northbound on Wheeler Road when his vehicle collided with a 2016 Mazda sedan at the intersection with Motor Parkway, Suffolk County Police said.  The Buick continued northbound and overturned into the parking lot of the BP gas station, located at 204 Wheeler Road. Dudek died Tuesday, Aug. 6, at her home in Commack, at age 63. After 36 years as a nurse and later as director of nursing at the Nassau County Medical Center, she retired and worked for several hospital associations in New York City as director of nursing. Dudek was predeceased by her parents, Regina B. Smith and Robert A. Smith, and her sister, Regina S.
