Eight Charged With DWI During Police Sobriety Checkpoint On Long Island
Eight people were charged with driving while intoxicated during an overnight sobriety checkpoint on Long Island. The checkpoint was conducted at Waverly Plaza in Patchogue, located at 371 N. Service Road, by officers from the Suffolk County Police Department Highway Patrol Bureau in a joint operation with New York State Police troopers on Friday night, Sept. 3 into early Saturday morning, Sept. 4.
