The incident happened at around 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, on Route 347 in Smithtown, according to police. Eight Charged In Long Island Sobriety Checkpoint Eight people are facing charges and one vehicle was seized in an overnight sobriety checkpoint on Long Island.
