A man who was hit by a car while crossing a Long Island street is now in critical condition, police said. It happened on Wednesday, Jan 10 in North Long Beach, according to Nassau County Police. Just before 9:10 p.m., a 59-year-old man was reportedly crossing Austin Boulevard near the intersection of Florida Avenue when he was hit by a 2012 Honda Accord. The man, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in critical condition. An employee at a Long Island gas station was arrested after allegedly printing out tens of thousands worth of New York Lottery tickets without authorization or paying, police said. The first attempted robbery took place around 12:55 a.m., Friday, Jan. 24, at the Dunkin' Donuts located on Long Beach Road in Oceanside, said the Nassau County Police.
