A Long Island man is facing multiple counts of attempted murder for an alleged three-week crime spree that culminated with him shooting at police officers, the District Attorney’s Office announced. A 23-year-old street gang member on Long Island may spend the rest of his life behind bars after being sentenced for his role in four separate homicides of perceived enemies of MS-13. Raul Ponce, of Hempstead, also known as “Shadow,” pleaded guilty last fall to two counts of murder in the deaths of Bryan Steven Cho Lemus and Julio Cesar Espantzay-Gonzales; and two counts of manslaughter for the deaths of Nelson Rodriguez and Osmin Campos-Sandoval, the Nassau County DA announced. MS-13 Member Admits To 2016 Machete Murder At Long Island Preserve
An alleged 20-year-old MS-13 street gang member is expected to spend the rest of his life in prison for his role in the butchering machete murder of a man on Long Island in 2016. Hempstead resident Samuel Ponce, also known as “Little Chickie” pleaded guilty this week to second-degree murder for his role in the murder of a Uniondale teenager in the Massapequa Park Preserve in 2016.
