Kia Recalls 200K Vehicles Due To Electrical Problem That Can Cause Fires
More than 228,000 Kia minivans and SUVs are being recalled due to concerns they could potentially catch fire, even while parked and with the ignition off. Kia announced that due to the fear of fires, Kia Sedona minivans and Kia Sorento SUVs are being subject to recall. The latest recall impacts 2006 through 2010 Sedona models and Sorento models produced between 2007 and 2009. Those who drink big during the big game could find themselves in big trouble if they drink and drive, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo warned. Nearly 262,000 heavy-duty Ford pickup trucks are being recalled nationwide due to faulty tailgates that can open unexpectedly. Ford Motor Co. announced that it is recalling F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty pickup trucks that were produced between 2017 and 2019. Trucks subject to recall feature electric tailgate latch release switches in the tailgate handle. More than four dozen tickets were dished out by New York State Police toppers during a special speed detail in Northern Westchester. Crashes Linked To Cell Phone Use, Texting Nearly Double Over Last Decade
More and more drivers find themselves involved in crashes due to cell phone use, according to a new report. Accidents related to cell phone use has risen 86 percent in the past decade, according to a recently released report from TrafficTickets.com, which took a county-by-county look at crashes tied to drivers using cell phones while behind the wheel. Facing pressure from the federal government, General Motors is recalling more than 3.4 million pickup trucks and SUVs nationwide that may have potential brake problems. Toyota is recalling more than 14,000 RAV4 models due to potentially faulty rearview cameras.
