SUV Crashes Down Embankment In Region A driver was hospitalized after their vehicle plunged down an embankment in the Hudson Valley.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Sept. 7, when an SUV crashed into the woods at around 1:40 a.m. in the area of Nicholas Way in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.  Arriving fire crews found that the driver had managed to escape the vehicle on their own after the crash. Car Goes Up In Flames On Parkway In Northern Westchester Firefighters raced into action after a car was consumed by flames on a busy parkway in Northern Westchester.  The blaze happened on Thursday, June 12 just after 8 p.m., when a vehicle caught on fire on the Taconic State Parkway in Briarcliff Manor, according to the village's fire department.  Arriving crews found the car engulfed in flames and were able to successfully put it out with no reported injuries.  A video of the blaze was later released by the department on Thursday, June 20.  At 2038 hours on Thursday, June 13th, the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department was …
