Man Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Rockville Centre A man was killed after being struck by a van on Long Island. The crash occurred at about 1:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, on Buckingham Road near Princeton Road in Rockville Centre, according to Nassau County Police. The 68-year-old man was crossing westbound when he was hit by a 2023 Ford Transit van driven by a 77-year-old man. He sustained severe injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at about 3 p.m., according to Nassau County PD medics. His identity has not yet been released. A 24-year-old woman driving a 2019 Dodge Charger, was involved in a collision with a 2019 Jeep Cherokee being operated by a 71-year-old woman, Nassau County Police said. It happened on Friday, Oct. 4, at 9:40 p.m. in Merrick, according to Nassau County Police. A 41-year-old man operating a 2023 Ford pickup truck traveling westbound on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) was involved in a collision with a 14-year-old boy riding a bicycle northbound on Merrick Avenue.   The boy suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. Teen In Critical Condition Following Long Island Crash A 17-year-old was airlifted to a nearby hospital after a freeway crash, police said. It happened in Plainview on Tuesday, July 2. According to Nassau County Police, the teen boy was driving north on Route 135 in a 1998 Toyota Corolla. Just before 4:15 p.m., he collided with a 26-year-old woman, also driving north, in a 2013 Range Rover. He was taken via helicopter to a local hospital for treatment, where he is currently listed in critical condition. The other driver remained at the scene and no other injuries were reported.
