Teller Threatened At Wells Fargo During Robbery: Nassau Police
A bank robbery that left an elderly teller fearing for her life ended with the arrest of a Hempstead man, authorities announced on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Lashawn Mills, 38, of Hempstead, was taken into custody following an investigation into the robbery at a Wells Fargo branch on Fulton Avenue, according to the Major Case Squad.
Mills walked into the bank at 145 Fulton Ave. just before noon on Saturday, Jan. 31, and approached a 78-year-old female teller, police explained. He demanded money while keeping his hand in his pocket, simulating that he had a weapon, investigators said.
