Teen Killed In Two-Car Crash Near Taconic On-Ramp In Pleasant Valley

An 18-year-old was killed in a two-car crash near the on-ramp to Taconic State Parkway off Route 44 in Pleasant Valley Saturday night.

The initial investigation suggests an eastbound vehicle on Route 44 made a left hand turn to enter the Taconic State Parkway on-ramp in front of a westbound vehicle, state police said.

Nolan Evanicki of Poughkeepsie was extricated by Pleasant Valley Fire Department and pronounced deceased on scene, according to police.

The investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is ongoing and investigators are asking for any witnesses to please contact Troop K, SP Poughkeepsie BCI, at (845) 677-7300.
