Police Asking Residents To Be 'Vigilant' After 3 Home Burglaries In Region Police in the Hudson Valley are asking residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity after three residential burglaries. The incidents occurred in Rockland County in the village of Montebello. The Ramapo Police Department reports it is investigating three recent residential burglaries in the Village of Montebello.  The department is asking for the public's assistance. Duo Charged With Hate Crimes After Attacking UPS Driver In Region Two men have been charged with alleged assault as a hate crime after attacking a UPS driver while using racial slurs and attempting to steal the keys to his vehicle. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, on Spook Rock Road in the village of Montebello. According to Ramapo Police Chief Daniel Hyman, the driver was struck by a water bottle thrown from outside the vehicle. 4 Hudson Valley Teens Face Hate Crime Charges For Anti-Semitic Slurs, Firing Pellet Gun Five Hudson Valley teens have been charged with hate crimes for allegedly yelling anti-Semitic slurs and shooting a pellet gun at individuals.  The incidents occurred in Rockland County in Ramapo on two dates in April. According to Det. Sgt. Michael Higgins of the Ramapo Police, the first two teens were arrested on Friday, April 19, for aggravated harassment as a hate crime.
