A New Jersey father who vanished during a work trip to Iowa was found dead after his car was pulled from the Missouri River, authorities said.
Akshay Arora, 47, of Hillsborough, had been reported missing on Wednesday, Aug. 6, when colleagues said he never showed up for a flight, Sioux City, IA, police said.
Later that evening, his vehicle was discovered submerged in the Missouri River, but no body was inside, prompting days of search efforts, police said.

Long Island Sisters, 16, Have Been Missing For Days
Authorities are asking for help in locating two Long Island sisters who have been missing for several days.
Daneayah and Daneajah Johnson, both 16, were last seen in Port Jefferson Station on Saturday, Aug. 9, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
Daneayah was wearing a black shirt, gray pants, and gray Jordan shoes, while Daneajah had a blue sweater, black sweatpants, and slippers.
The girls may have traveled to Philadelphia, police said.

A 14-year-old girl has been reported missing from her home in Inwood, the Nassau County Police Department announced on Monday, Aug. 4.
Elieta Urbina-Palacios was last seen leaving her Inwood residence at 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, according to detectives. She was reported missing to police on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
Elieta is described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said her clothing description and intended destination remain unknown.

Missing 14-Year-Old Girl From Nassau County May Have Been Heading To Mall
Nearly 48 hours have passed since a Long Island teenager went missing.
Aylin Gonzales, 14, of New Cassel, was last seen at around 1 p.m. Sunday, July 20, according to Nassau County Police. Family members reported her missing the following day.
Gonzales is 4-foot-8 and 100 pounds, with long dark hair, a medium complexion, and brown eyes. She was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, and black sneakers.
She may have been heading to Hempstead or the Roosevelt Field Mall, police said.
