A Long Island man will spend more than a decade in prison for a violent crime spree in Westchester County, including a hate-fueled assault on an Asian store owner and robberies targeting multiple victims, officials announced. Suffolk County resident Michael Bagley, age 34, of Coram, New York, was sentenced to an indeterminate term of 14 and a half to 29 years in state prison following his guilty plea to felony charges stemming from robberies in New Rochelle and White Plains in March 2023, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office. Detective Charged With Hate Crime After Alleged Racial Attack In Suffolk County
A Long Island police detective faces hate crime charges after allegedly harassing a worker and damaging his vehicle in what authorities say was a racially motivated incident. The altercation occurred on Sunday, Nov. 3, around 7 p.m. in Manorville, near the corner of Sylvan Court and Weeks Avenue. Doorbell Cam Captures Man Urinating On Long Island Front Porch, Yelling Antisemitic Obscenities
Police are trying to identify a man who urinated on the front porch of a Long Island home and shouted antisemitic obscenities. The incident happened in Plainview, at a residence on Grohmans Lane, at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8. Nassau County Police said surveillance video showed a man walk up to the home and expose himself before urinating on the victim’s front door and Ring doorbell camera.
