Person Jumps From Bridge In Region
Dive teams, fire departments, and EMS personnel are searching for a person who jumped from a bridge in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in Beacon around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. According to New York State Police, the unidentified person jumped from the bridge on the Beacon side, and a search is ongoing. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Gilgo Beach Murders: New Images Of 'Asian Doe' Released In Effort To ID Male Victim
Investigators are hoping newly released images will lead to the identification of another victim in the Gilgo Beach serial murders. On Long Island, the Gilgo Beach Task Force distributed facial reconstructions of who they've long referred to as "Asian Doe" during a press conference in Brentwood on Monday morning, Sept. 16. Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney said the man’s skeletal remains were found along Ocean Parkway in Gilgo Beach on April 4, 2011, though it’s believed he “suffered a violent death” sometime before 2006. Triple Homicide: Incident In Small Vermont Town Along Capital Region Border Under Investigation
The Vermont State Police are asking the public for help after three people were found dead inside a home along the New York border. The incident occurred in the small Rutland County town of Pawlet on Sunday, Sept. 15. According to the Vermont State Police, early Sunday, the police received a call reporting a suspicious person. An investigation led the officers to a residence on Route 133, where troopers located the victims. Sexual Assault At Park In Capital Region Under Investigation
Police in the region are investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred at a popular park. The incident occurred in Albany at 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, in the area of Six Mile Park, located at 135 Fuller Road. According to Albany Police, when officers arrived at the park, they learned that the victim, a woman, was inside a vehicle at the time of the assault. A teen was charged with making a terroristic threat after allegedly threatening to shoot a student outside a private school in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Wednesday, Sept. 4, when police responded to the home of an Our Lady Of Lourdes High School student for an anonymous terroristic statement threatening to target the victim with a gun after school in Poughkeepsie. Man Critically Injured By Hit-Run Driver In Region
A man was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in the region. The incident occurred in Ulster County around 9 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, in the town of Woodstock near the intersection of Maverick Road. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 68-year-old Kingston man was riding his bike and traveling south on Route 375 when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene. A dog was shot and killed after attacking an 8-year-old girl, critically injuring her and a 39-year-old woman in the Hudson Valley. Police in the Hudson Valley are searching for the person or people who fired multiple shots in a neighborhood, striking a man and an occupied home. A man from the region murdered both of his parents before jumping to his death from a highway bridge in upstate New York, police said. Troopers in Albany were called about a man threatening to jump from the Patroon Island Bridge (I-90) at around 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15.
