Update: Victim Of Long Island Tow Truck Crash ID'd

Police have identified the person killed after being hit by a tow truck on Long Island.

The East Farmingdale crash happened on Tuesday, Feb. 13, according to Suffolk County Police.

West Babylon resident Angel Miranda, age 34, was crossing Route 109 at Route 110 at approximately 2:30 a.m. when he was hit by a 2022 RAM tow truck that was traveling west on Route 109.

Miranda was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The tow truck driver, a 55-year-old man from East Elmhurst, Queens, was not injured, and the tow truck was impounded.
