Man Riding Electric Scooter Dies In West Babylon Crash, Police Say An investigation is underway after a 43-year-old man was struck and killed by a car while riding an electric scooter on Long Island. The crash happened on Sunrise Highway in West Babylon at about 3:20 a.m. on Monday, April 4, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Edward Marcuteanu, of Lindenhurst, was riding a Splach electric scooter in the middle eastbound lane near Exit 40 when a 2016 Honda Accord struck him, SCPD reported. Yanet Patricia Arroyo, now 58, was arrested on charges of first, second and third-degree possession of a controlled substance and second-degree conspiracy on Oct. 6 of 1998.  To accrue a first-degree criminal possession charge, an individual must have eight or more ounces of a drug, according to New York Penal Law. Covid-19: Queens Hospital Worker, Mother Of Twins, Dies At 34 A 34-year-old mother of twin boys who worked registering new patients at a Queens hospital recently died from COVID-19 complications. Prea Nankieshore, who worked in the emergency room section of Jewish Hospital Forest Hills, died on Sunday, April 5. She lived with her parents in Ozone Park.
