Shirley Woman Charged Driving With 52 License Suspensions Police on Long Island arrested a woman for allegedly driving with 52 license suspensions. The stop occurred in Shirley around 1 a.m.,  Wednesday, April 3 on eastbound Sunrise Highway at Exit 58. According to Suffolk County Police, Kaylyn Snyder, age 37, of Shirley was spotted driving a 2012 Jeep Liberty that did not have a rear license plate. An investigation determined that Snyder has 52 license suspensions issued on 13 dates, police said. Snyder was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, a felony.  She will be arraigned at First District Court in…

Woman Dies From Injuries In Double-Fatal Long Island Crash A woman has died from injuries suffered in a double-fatal Long Island crash. Lisa Hynds, age 42, of Riverhead, was a passenger in a Toyota Yaris that was struck by a Jeep Liberty in Sayville being driven on eastbound Sunrise Highway around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, Suffolk County Police said. Miguel Berdecia, age 46, of Central Islip, the Toyota driver, has been identified as the man killed in the crash. Hynds had been hospitalized with critical injuries before succumbing to critical injuries in the crash, police said.

The man was in the lanes of travel on eastbound Sunrise Highway (Route 27) in Sayville, east of exit 49, when he was struck by a 2006 Jeep Liberty at about 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, the Suffolk County Police said. The victim, now identified as Matthew Wenk, of Islip Terrace was pronounced dead at the scene.  The Farmingville man who was driving the Jeep, also age 20, was not injured in the crash, police said. Anthony Russo was reportedly last seen at his home at 97 Theodore Drive, on Tuesday, Aug. 20, police said. He is white, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 158 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair and drives a white Jeep Liberty with FPL 6504 license plates. A photo of the man is not available.
