'Deepfake' Targeted Law Proposed By NY DA A New York district attorney has unveiled a plan to propose new legislation that would protect citizens in the event that their personal images are digitally manipulated for sexual content. Patrick Carey, age 20, of Seaford, was arraigned on Thursday, Dec 17, after being indicted by a grand jury in November, said Acting Nassau County District Attorney Joyce A. Smith.
