Men Wanted For Using Children To Steal At Port Jefferson Station Store

Police are looking for the men captured on surveillance video who allegedly used children to assist in stealing a $1,000 saw from a Port Jefferson Station store.

Suffolk County Police ask the public’s help to identify and locate two men they say, accompanied by two children, entered MVP Power Outdoor Equipment at 86 Comsewogue Road, on Wednesday, May 8 at approximately 10:30 a.m. 

One of the men allegedly instructed one of the children to remove a Stihl concrete saw from the shelf and the four then walked out of the store, according to police. 

The stolen saw has a reported value of approximately $1,050, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest, according to the report.

Anyone with information can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and your message to “CRIMES” (274637) or by email here.

All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential, said police.
