Woman From Region Sentenced For Arson Of Residential Building With People Inside
In a significant court ruling, a woman from the region was sentenced to nine years in prison following her conviction for arson of a residential building. According to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler, Dawn Hulse, age 53, of Port Jervis, was sentenced on Wednesday, Nov. 20, to prison time plus an additional five years of supervised release. This follows her guilty plea in Orange County Court to commit arson at a two-family residence in Port Jervis. Sex Offender From Region Admits To Failing To Register Email Address
A Hudson Valley sex offender pled guilty after admitting in court that he failed to register an email he was not supposed to have. Ulster County resident Joseph Nash, aka “Nash Von Wicked” and “Nash Bridges,” age 45, of Port Ewen, pled guilty on Tuesday, Nov. 5, to failing to update his registration as a sex offender to include an email address that he failed to disclose, said US Attorney for Northern District of New York Carla Freedman. Nearly 30 years after fatally stabbing a fellow inmate at a Northern Westchester prison because he wore a cross, a 54-year-old New York man learned he will spend decades in prison for the killing.
