2 Police Officers Injured After Driver Crashes Into Patrol Car In Westchester Two Westchester police officers were injured after an alleged drunk driver pulled over for traffic violations backed into their police cruiser. The incident took place in Yonkers around 3 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 on Bronx River Road. According to Det. Lt.  Dean Politopoulos, of the Yonkers Police, during the stop the driver backed his vehicle into the police car.  The officers received minor injuries, police said. The driver, who was not identified, was arrested and charged with DUI.

Man Admits To Assaulting Police Officer In Area An area man has pleaded guilty to assault on a police officer in connection with an incident where an area officer was seriously injured.  Orange County resident Guy Dixon, age 38, of Port Jervis, pleaded guilty on Thursday, Feb. 10, during the jury selection phase of the trial, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. As part of the plea agreement, Dixon will receive five years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision when he is sentenced in April.
