Fairfield County native Charlie Capalbo, age 23, of the town of Fairfield, died Sunday, April 24, following a five-year battle with cancer, according to a GoFundMe page established for his family. “After five years and 745 nights spent in hospitals, let’s just say that one got by Charlie in the 4th overtime today,” reads a post from GoFundMe organizer John McCormick. Covid-19: Cases Linked To High School Parties In Fairfield County The spike in COVID-19 cases in Town of Fairfield high schools has been linked to several parties and large gatherings that have been attended by students, town officials said. During a briefing this week, Fairfield First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick said that there are six positive COVID-19 cases - five at Fairfield Ludlowe High School and one at Fairfield Prep - that may force upwards of 100 people to quarantine because they may have come into contact with an infected student. Nicholas Graham of Southport, who attends Southern Connecticut State University, made the threats late Tuesday to several students on Snapchat saying that he would find them and kill them and all of their friends, said the Fairfield Police Department.
