The incident happened on the westbound Sunrise Highway near William Floyd Parkway in Shirley on Friday afternoon, Dec. 13. Suffolk County Police said officers responded to a 2-vehicle collision at around 1:40 p.m. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were hospitalized with injuries.
