The 15-year-old boy was heading toward the McDonald's on the westbound side of the highway in Rockaway Borough when he was struck around 9:50 p.m., Police Sgt. Kyle Schwarzmann said. Hackettstown PD: McDonald's Employee Burned By 'Smoldering' Dollar Bill A McDonald's employee suffered burns on her palm when a customer handed her a smoking dollar bill, authorities said. The McDonald's worker took the cash around 10:25 p.m. Sunday and realized only after it was in her hand that it was still "smoldering," Hackettstown police said. "She is traumatized," a family member told Daily Voice. The worker was treated at Hackettstown Medical Center, the family member said. The incident remains under investigation, authorities said.

The incident occurred at the Tonnelle Center complex on Tonnelle Avenue. Police issued a traffic advisory for 81st Street and Tonnelle Avenue as fire companies worked to clear the scene. North Bergen police said no one was injured.  The shopping center is home to a Chuck E Cheese, Planet Fitness, McDonald's and Burlington, according to Google Maps.

Elizabeth Man Killed In Hillside Crash Leaves Behind Young Son A fundraiser has been started for the Elizabeth man who was killed when his car slammed into the back of a tractor trailer in Hillside last week.  Uzodimma N. Oguh, 39, died early on the morning of April 22 when his car slid under the truck as it was pulling into a McDonald's parking lot on Rt. 22. The roadway was closed for several hours.  Family and friends are now raising funds to help with funeral and other costs for Oguh, whose survivors include his toddler son Luke.  Donations can be made via GoFundMe here.
