A pickup truck driver from New York has been charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses following a road-rage shooting on Route 78 in Hunterdon County earlier this month, authorities said. Collen M. Brown, 25, of Jamaica, NY, was driving a pickup truck eastbound alongside a tractor-trailer when he fired a 9 mm handgun at its engine compartment around 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Bergen County drug detectives caught a Queens driver with a criminal history driving a car stolen out of Florida, authorities said. Wilbert Toussaint, 31, of Jamaica was released pending court action following his arrest on receiving stolen property charges, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. A Jamaica, NY woman was killed while her husband and two toddlers survived a Route 287 Piscataway crash with serious injuries, authorities said. Four New Jersey residents were among 27 people arrested for their roles in a multimillion-dollar scheme to commit bribery and a no-fault insurance scam. An Edgewater man conspired with the owner of a shuttered go-go bar to use stolen credit card information – and illegally acquired gift cards – to steal more than $12 million, authorities said.
