For the past five years, eighth-graders at Macopin Middle School have participated in the club to learn about global citizenship, Principal Mary Reinhold said.
The club also helped in many fundraisers for various organizations over the years.
"I am very proud of this group because they understand that as a global citizen, they identify with being part of an emerging world community and their action's contribute to building this community's values and practices," Reinhold said.
For its latest endeavor, Reinhold said the students were accepted into the Disney Youth Education Series in Florida. The February trip will add further leadership and character building lessons that will fit in the West Milford curriculum, the principal said.
In order to attend, the school is seeking donations to send the children to Florida.
West Milford Mayor Bettina Bieri encouraged residents to support the Make A Change Club.
"As I meet with future leaders every year, I am repeatedly impressed with their knowledge, understanding and intelligent discourse," Bieri said.
To support the club, send a donation to Macopin Middle School Make A Change Club, 70 Highlander Drive in West Milford.
