Body Of Missing Jersey City Man Confirmed Pulled From West Milford Lake

WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- A man whose body was pulled from a swimming hole in West Milford Friday afternoon was a missing 21-year-old Jersey City resident, authorities confirmed Sunday afternoon.

Family members presumed that Wajhat Yaqoob drowned in the in Long Pond Ironworks State Park in Hewitt at what is known "The Mine Hole" on March 10.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes made it official on Sunday after a determination was made by the Medical Examiner's Office.
