"Pedals" the bi-pedal bear, who has been spotted trekking through parts of Northern New Jersey, is missing one front paw and the other is permanently injured, Lisa Rose-Rublack said on the page.

Pedals is unable to run or climb and activists from Indiana to Italy are attempting to grab the attention of NJ Fish and Wildlife who they hope will decide to bring the American black bear to a sanctuary in Upstate New York.

"Whenever possible, our goal is to let wildlife live in the wild, and so we're going to have to assess the situation based on any new facts that we get," New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Division of Fish and Wildlife spokesperson Larry Hajna told Daily Voice.
