Bloomingdale Library Offers 'Minion Mania' And More In April

BLOOMINGDALE, N.J. -- "Minion Mania," on Friday, April 1, is one of the kids programs on offer in April by the Bloomingdale Free Public Library.

"Minion Mania" -- Friday, April 1, 2 p.m. -- The film "Minions" will be screened upstairs in the Bloomingdale Council Chambers, followed by a Minion-themed craft. Ages 5 and up.

Friday Crafternoon -- Friday, April 8, 3:30 p.m. -- Kids 5 and up will make a "thing on springs" pop-up box.

"Paws to Read" -- Saturday, April 9, 10:30-11:30 a.m. -- Thatcher the Golden Retriever, a certified therapy dog, will be visiting BFPL. Folks of all ages can read him a story or simply enjoy some quality time with him.

Project Create: Full STEAM Ahead -- Monday, April 11 and 25, 6 pm. -- Project Create participants, ages 8-13, will explore science, technology, engineering, art and math through fun projects and activities.

Fossils! -- Saturday, April 16, 11 a.m. -- Professor Bob Vosatka will host this hands-on program. Kids 5 and up will examine ancient fossils using a hand lens, then learn to identify the fossils using plates and identification charts.

Family Storytime -- Saturday, April 23, 10:30 a.m. -- celebrate Autism Awareness Month with a fun and inclusive family storytime, open to all ages and abilities.

Batman Block Party -- Saturday, April 30, 10:30 a.m. -- Pursue a different Lego challenge each month or create your own masterpiece. All ages welcome, with bigger blocks for younger participants.
