Mercer County Man Arrested For 28 Vandalism Incidents Costing $38K: Police
A 25-year-old East Windsor man has been arrested in connection with more than two dozen acts of vandalism, authorities said. Damages totaled more than $38,000, according to East Windsor police. James Russell was charged with 28 counts of criminal mischief on Thursday, June 29. The arrest was in connection with a February rash of vandalism, police said. Numerous residents on the north side of Twin Rivers contacted the police department to report criminal mischief to their vehicles. Motel Smoke Alarm Leads To Crack Cocaine Arrest In Mercer County
The activation of a smoke alarm led to the arrest of a motel guest on drug charges, authorities said. At about 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, East Windsor police responded to Motel 6 on Route 33 due to the alarm. An investigation revealed that a motel patron was smoking and activated the alarm., East Windsor police said. Danielle Piscak, 34, of Howell was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of a weapon and of drug paraphernalia, police said. Pedestrian Critically Hurt In Mercer County Crash
A 37-year-old pedestrian was critically hurt after being struck by a pick-up truck while crossing Route 33 in Mercer County, authorities said. The truck hit the pedestrian around 8:30 p.m. between Twin Rivers Drive North and Probasco Road, East Windsor police said. Initial reports said the pedestrian was in traumatic arrest. He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick in New Brunswick with life-threatening injuries.
