Man, 27, Stabbed Dead In Trenton: Prosecutor
A 27-year-old man from Trenton was stabbed to death, authorities said.
At 10:46 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, Trenton police responded to the 500 block of Second Street on a stabbing in progress, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri.
Police found a male victim suffering from a stab wound to the torso.
The victim, identified as Roger Martinez-Rodriguez, 27, of Trenton, was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a few hours later, Onofri said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, he said.…
Park Ranger Billed Mercer County 298 Hours Of Work While At Home: Prosecutor
A park ranger from Mercer County spent about 298 hours at home when he said he was at work, a complaint shows.
James J. Romano III falsified 64 patrol logs between July 27, 2002, and Jan. 17, 2023, which totaled 298.5 hours and $5,728 in stolen wages, according to the criminal complaint filed by the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
Romano III, 34, of Hamilton, was charged in March with official misconduct, tampering with public records and theft by deception, according to the complaint.
Arrest Made In Deadly Shooting Of 33-Year-Old Trenton Man, Authorities Say
An arrest has been made in the deadly shooting of a 33-year-old Trenton man earlier this month, authorities announced.
Mack Williams, 32, was charged with murder and weapons offenses, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said in a press release Tuesday, Oct. 25.
Authorities arrested him on Monday in Trenton.
Detectives identified Williams, of Trenton, as the gunman in the homicide of Daquan Brown, who was found lying on the ground at Kersey Alley with a bullet wound to the shoulder around 3:10 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9.
