The mother of a former New Jersey track star and motorcyclist killed in a crash over the summer has filed a lawsuit against the other driver involved. The family of a teen girl is suing McDonald's, saying an Atlantic City restaurant employee refused to serve them, made a racist comment, and discriminated against the girl because of a disability. A 32-year-old man from South Jersey has pleaded guilty to lunging at police with a dumbbell after shouting racial slurs, authorities said. A 44-year-old man from South Jersey admitted selling a fatal dose of fentanyl mixed with cocaine to a teenager, authorities said. Freddie W. Smith, 44, of Vineland, pleaded guilty in Atlantic County Superior Court to one count of first-degree strict liability for causing a drug-induced death, according to the county prosecutor's office. A 55-year-old man from Atlantic County has been arrested for luring/enticing after seeking to have sex with a boy, authorities said. Joseph M. Manzoni, of Ventnor City, was charged on June 22 after a monthlong investigation, according to Ventnor City Police. On May 22, at 10:25 p.m., Ventnor police received a report from a subject who arrived at a pre-arranged location to meet a male with the purpose of having sex with him.
