Snow In New Jersey: School Closings, Delays Announced As Winter Weather Worsens Heavy snowfall and hazardous road conditions have prompted school closures and delays across parts of North Jersey Friday, Nov. 22. Precipitation is expected to continue throughout the day, with snowfall accumulation most significant near and north of the Route 78 corridor in Pennsylvania and northwest New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service in Philadelphia/Mount Holly. This year's title speaks for itself: "The 2025 Old Farmer’s Almanac Forecasts a 'Calmer, Gentler' Winter." The Old Farmer's Almanac touts 80 percent accuracy in its forecasts dating back to 1792. Last year, it predicted a winter wonderland.
