Two Injured In Four-Car Crash On Route 80:

Two people were injured in a four-car crash involving multiple trucks on Route 80 in Warren County on Thursday, July 18, authorities said. At 10:47 a.m. on I-80 eastbound in Hardwick Township, a crash occurred between a tractor-trailer, two Ford pickup trucks and a Toyota sedan, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Two drivers sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Tractor Trailer Driver, 22, Airlifted In Route 80 Crash
The driver of a tractor trailer was airlifted to the hospital in a Route 80 crash early Friday, July 12 in Warren County, police said. The 22-year-old Lodi, CA man was heading east when he ran off the left side of the roadway, struck the guardrail, went into a ditch, and collided with a tree just after 6:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The unnamed man sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. The crash remains under investigation, and there was no further information.

An Easton woman is in the Northampton County jail for a car theft early this year, say Forks Township police. Authorities said they were called about a stolen Hyundai Santa Fe at 5335 Kesslersville Road on Feb. 29. The victim, a New Jersey resident, also reported fraudulent transactions on a debit card that was left in the vehicle. The National Weather Service has issued severe thunderstorm warnings and warned of 60 mph winds across parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania Friday, June 14. : Former Warren County Prosecutor Wants His Job Back
James Pfeiffer, who abruptly retired as Warren County Prosecutor in April, has filed a lawsuit claiming he was unlawfully removed from the position. The complaint, filed against New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin and Gov. Phil Murphy in Superior Court of New Jersey, said he remains the duly appointed Prosecutor for Warren County and wants his job back. A school board trustee in Warren County crossed the line in trying to have her child's bullying suspension revoked, according to a state ethics board. Lisa Moyer, a member of the board of education in Allamuchy Township, violated several sections of the school ethics board, after her child was suspended for harassment, intimidation and bullying in 2022, the School Ethics Commission ruled. Man Fired Gun 9X Times To Break Up Fight, Warren County Prosecutor Says
A 34-year-old Port Murray man was recently arrested and charged after he fired a gun nine times in Warren County on Friday, May 24, authorities said. At 10:15 p.m., police in Mansfield Township responded to Gulick Street after receiving a report of gunfire, Acting Warren County Prosecutor Anthony Picione said. An investigation found that Kajaun Manley had fired nine gunshots to break up an altercation, Picione said. No one was shot, Picione said. Manley was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Picione said.

Dog Bites Troopers On Route 80:

A loose dog was a little overzealous on Route 80 in Warren County on Tuesday, May 28, authorities said. Troopers responded to a report of a dog running on Route 80 eastbound in Allamuchy Township, Jeffrey Lebron a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. When troopers and civilians tried to capture the dog, they were bitten, Lebron said. The troopers and civilians suffered minor injuries, Lebron said. The dog was captured and turned over to nearby animal control, Lebron said.

Two Children Injured After Car Crashes Into Tree On Route 80
Two children were injured after a car crashed into a tree on Route 80 in Warren County on Monday, May 27, authorities said. At 10:08 p.m., a Toyota vehicle was traveling westbound on Route 80 in Knowlton Township when the driver lost control, ran off the roadway and struck a tree, Sgt. Charles Marchan of the New Jersey State Police said. The two children were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.

Hackettstown Man Sexually Assaulted 15-Year-Old: Prosecutor
A 33-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested and charged on Thursday, May 23 with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old, authorities said. Matthew Canavan was identified as the suspect by Independence Township Police and charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual conduct and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Acting Warren County Prosecutor Anthony Picione said. Canavan was known to the victim, Picione said. He is currently being held at the Warren County Correctional Facility, Picione said.
