Missing NJ Man Found Dead, State Police Says
A 33-year-old Irvington man who had been missing since mid-June was found dead on Sunday, June 30, authorities said. Isaac Bishop had been missing since Tuesday, June 11, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. At 2:30 p.m. on June 30, the New Jersey State Police Major Crimes South Unit and the Missing Persons Unit responded to a heavily wooded area near 13th Avenue in Weymouth Township and recovered Bishop's body, Marchan said. A 66-year-old driver struck and seriously injured a 14-year-old bicyclist in a Mercer County town over the weekend, police said. The East Windsor driver was operating a 2013 Toyota Tacoma when he struck the bicyclist, who was crossing Twin Rivers Drive north around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, EWPD Lt. Thomas Meyer said. 5 Passengers Hurt In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Garden State Parkway:

Five people were injured in a three-car crash on the Garden State Parkway in Central Jersey, authorities said. New Jersey State troopers responded to a crash on Sunday, July 14 at 4:40 p.m. on the parkway southbound at milepost 126.5 in Sayreville, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesman. A total of five passengers sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available at this time.

Tractor-Trailer Fully Engulfed In Flames On NJ Turnpike (

A tractor-trailer became fully engulfed in flames on New Jersey Turnpike in South Brunswick. New Jersey State Troopers responded to the truck fire on Tuesday, July 2 at 12:40 p.m. on the south outer roadway milepost 77.4 in South Brunswick Township, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesman. Upon the trooper’s arrival, the International tractor-trailer was fully engulfed in flames. There were no injuries reported, Lebron said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available.

A state trooper was accused of trying to pay for sex from someone he believed was a teen girl and asking for sexual pictures, authorities said. Shane Dempsey, 31, of Brick Township, was arrested in Ewing on Monday, July 1, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release. Motorcyclist, 28, Killed In Route 287 Crash
A 28-year-old motorcyclist from Whitehouse Station was killed in a crash on Route 287 in Bridgewater on Thursday, June 27, authorities said. At 7:36 p.m., a Yamaha motorcycle driven by Mazen Alnaser was traveling north on Route 287 when it exited the roadway to the left and struck a guardrail, ejecting him, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Alnaser's motorcycle then continued north and struck the back of a Madza, Marchan said. Alnaser was pronounced dead at the scene, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.
