A young motorcyclist expecting his first child in six weeks lost his left foot and was undergoing more surgeries after a crash in Sayreville, according to a family friend. Marybeth Walz Pritzlaff of Red Bank detailed the crash's aftermath in a GoFundMe campaign. 'Miracle of Morristown:' How Woman Who Lost Leg After Being Struck By Train Saved Her Own Life
Lisa Fitzgerald was two weeks shy of her birthday and commuting to New York when she lost her leg after being struck by train in Morristown on Saturday, May 4. Fitzgerald was on the Morristown platform with the injury when responders arrived at the scene, just before 7:25 p.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said.
