Officers Rescue Pair Neck-Deep In Freezing Waters As Car Plunges Into Pequannock Pond: Watch Newly released footage from the Pequannock Police Department shows the “truly amazing rescue” of a driver and passenger after their car plunged into a local pond, leaving the pair neck-deep in frozen waters. The rescue occurred at the retention pond at Cedar Crest Village on the evening of Sunday, April 2. Officers responded and found a vehicle submerged almost completely in the water.
