Home Invaders Posed As Police Officers, Restrained Children In Bergen County House: Prosecutor
A New York trio has been arrested in connection with a home invasion earlier this month in Bergen County, authorities said.
Diogenes A. Rosario, 49, of New York, NY; Leonel Perez, 38, of New York, NY; and Misael Diaz, 38, of Yonkers, broke into a multi-family home on Crescent Lane in Cliffside Park around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
All three were wearing dark-colored clothing and facemasks, and were outwardly displaying imitation police-style badges, portraying themselves as police officers, Musella said.

Spring Valley Security Guard In Traffic Stop Posed As Police Officer, Police In NJ Charge
A security guard from Spring Valley flashed a badge and identified himself as a cop after a police officer in a North Jersey town pulled his companion over, authorities said. He wasn’t -- and it got him arrested, they said.
Leonard C. Miles, 47, was released after the 11:45 p.m. stop Monday, Wyckoff police said.
Miles, who owned the Ford Mustang, had “identified himself as a law enforcement officer in the state of New York and displayed a badge,” Lt. Joseph Soto said.

Clifton/Garfield PD: Two Caught In Police Impersonator 'Prostitution' Raids
CLIFTON, N.J. -- Three men posting as police officers had been ransacking hotel rooms in New Jersey, claiming they were conducting prostitution raids, until Clifton and Garfield police teamed up to find and bust them.
Using the ruse, two of them entered the hotel room of a 35-year-old hotel guest at the Clifton Howard Johnson on Route 3, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said.
While one guarded the victim, the other robber grabbed cash, electronics and the keys to the woman's car, he said.
