'Best Birthday Ever': Jersey City's Barbara Matos Dies Days After Turning 55
Barbara Matos, a Jersey City resident, died on Saturday May 27, at the age of 55, according to her obituary.
Matos had recently celebrated her birthday in Puerto Rico and said it was the best birthday ever, her obituary reads.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel, her three children, Antonio, Samuel and Christina and four grandchildren, according to her obituary.

Cliffside Park Man Killed In Jersey City Crash Cremated
A 26-year-old Cliffside Park man killed in a Jersey City car crash was privately cremated.
Daniel Nazarenko, 26, of Cliffside Park, was a passenger in a sedan that crashed into a divider on 14th Street near Route 139 shortly before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.
He was pronounced dead a Jersey City Medical Center about a half-hour later.
The driver was reported in stable condition.
Nazarenko, a Jersey City native, was graduated from St. Peter’s Prep, according to social media accounts.

A funeral will be held Wednesday for Dominik Assis, 27, a longtime Kearny resident who died suddenly on Friday.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. Cremation will be private.
