Detectives investigating a tip that Jahad Crayton, 26, was selling drugs from the 2005 Dodge Caravan in the area of Montgomery Park obtained search warrants for the vehicle and the Butler Street apartment, city Police Director Jerry Speziale said Saturday.
They pulled Crayton over with all three children and teir mother, 25-year-old Bridgette Williams, in the minivan on Lawrence Place and found Ecstasy and marijuana, Speziale said.
All of the drugs found were "easily accessible to anyone who resided in the apartment, including the young children," the director said.
That included:
- 48 Ecstasy pills and two baggies filled with nine grams of Molly;
- Five ounces of marijuana in five jars and six baggies;
- 23 vials of crack.
Crayton and Williams were charged with possession of the drugs with the intent to distibute them, along with three counts each of child endangerment.
