Falling Tree In Ridgewood Downs Transformer A downed tree in Ridgewood on Monday knocked a transformer from a utility pole, yanked down wires, caused some area outages and generally proved to be a nuisance. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The tree on Grandview Circle toppled around noon Aug. 7 following the morning's heavy rains. It snagged the wires, which dislodged the transformer.
