Police Seek Sussex County Shooting Suspect
New Jersey State Police are on the lookout for a Sussex County shooting suspect. Shots were fired near Halsey Road and Garrett Drive in Hampton Township around 1:20 a.m. on Monday, June 1, authorities said in a release. Upon arrival, officers saw a white man, identified as Jacob Drelich, 26, of Newton, walking northbound on Halsey Road, as well as a nearby street sign that had been spray painted with the letters "BLM," authorities said. Police in Sparta have put an end to drive-by birthday celebrations as per Gov. Phil Murphy’s most recent additions to social distancing guidelines. Police in Sparta will no longer carry out drive-by “birthday brigades” in compliance with Murphy’s Executive Order 107, which urges residents to leave only for a limited number of necessary reasons. State Moves To Revoke Liquor License Of North Jersey Bar For Defying Coronavirus Closure Order
Authorities are working to revoke the liquor license of a North Jersey bar that twice ignored orders not to serve patrons on the premises amid the coronavirus pandemic, the state's top cop said. The action comes after the Post Time Pub in Blairstown “was twice issued criminal charges and flouted local law enforcement efforts,” Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said Tuesday.
