Newark Woman Fatally Struck By Vehicle Driven By 70-Year-Old: Summit PD
A 66-year-old Newark woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Summit on the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 20, police said. At 6:51 a.m. police responded to River Road, between Morris Avenue and Plain Street, and found the woman struck by a 2018 Toyota Tundra, driven by a 70-year-old Hopatcong man. The woman was pronounced dead after being transferred to Overlook Medical Center. The incident is under investigation by the Summit Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau.
