Details have been released in a crash that caused serious delays along the Garden State Parkway on one of the busiest travel times of the year. Just before 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, a Honda SUV driven by a 62-year-old Jackson man was heading south in the local lanes while a Toyota SUV driven by a 20-year-old Montville man were both heading south in the express lanes, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Two Women Hospitalized After Car Runs Stop Sign, Crashes In South Jersey: Police
Two women were hospitalized, including one who was airlifted, after their cars crashed in Ocean County, authorities said. Berkeley Township police responded to the crash at the intersection of Jamaica Boulevard and Bimini Drive at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, the department said in a news release. Officers found a tan Toyota Camry and a white Honda Civic with heavy damage. Investigators said the Toyota was heading west on Jamaica and failed to stop at a stop sign. Driver Falls Asleep, Causes Power Outage For 1,000 In Barnegat, Police Say
Nearly 1,000 people are without power in Barnegat Sunday morning, June 30 due to a car that ran off the road when its driver fell asleep at the wheel and struck a utility pole, police said. The 23-year-old woman crashed a 2019 Honda eastbound on West Bay Avenue, snapping the pole and leaving 1,000 homes in the dark, police said. Atlantic City Electric was on scene making repairs and restoring power to the area. The driver was treated on scene by Quality Medical but refused further medical attention.

Driver Cited, Hospitalized After Vehicle Overturns: Montgomery PD
A 55-year-old Philadelphia resident was cited for careless driving after his vehicle overturned in Montgomery on Monday, June 24, authorities said. At 6:39 a.m., first responders were on scene at Spring Hill Road after a 2020 Toyota Highlander overturned, Montgomery police said in a release. The driver was traveling north on Spring Hill Road when he failed to maintain the lane of travel, driving off the roadway, police said. There was a crash and a traffic signal knocked down along Route 35 in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26 northbound north of Route 650 (Chain-O-Hills Road) in Woodbridge Township, according to the NJDOT. Woodbridge police said there were no serious injuries.

A 19-year-old man from Atlantic County has died from his injuries from a head-on crash with a pickup truck in Vineland, authorities said. Dayshaun Brown, of Minotola, died on Friday, June 14, Vineland police said on Monday, June 17. Both drivers were airlifted from the crash scene, they said.
