A 13-year-old Morris County boy is recovering from life-threatening injuries after he was hit by an SUV while riding his bike last week, police said.
The boy, identified as Lucas in a GoFundMe launched by his family, was struck just after 6:35 p.m. Sunday, May 11, while crossing Wolfe Road from Cassidy Road, according to the Mount Olive Police Department.

A 32-year-old Elmwood Park was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Budd Lake on Monday, April 21, after officers observed him driving erratically, authorities said.
At 3:31 p.m., officers observed a gray Ford Focus traveling west on Route 46 fail to maintain its lane of travel, Mount Olive police said. As officers spoke to the driver, Krzystof Janasik, they detected the odor of alcohol and believed him to be impaired, police said.

DWI Driver Drove Recklessly: Mt Olive PD
A 40-year-old Budd Lake man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on the afternoon of Thursday, April 10, authorities said.
At 12:21 p.m., officers observed a GMC pickup truck traveling west on Route 46 fail to maintain its lane, Mount Olive police said. The driver, Drew Monarque, was pulled over and officers detected an odor of alcohol on his beverage, police said.
Following field sobriety testing, Monarque was placed under arrest, police said.
He was charged with DWI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and failure to possess an insurance card, police said.
