Jordan Dale Antrim, 32, of Philadelphia, is charged with First-Degree Murder, Second-Degree Murder, Third-Degree Murder, Robbery, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, and Possessing an Instrument of Crime, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Lower Providence Township Police Chief Michael Jackson said in a joint statement.

The victim was identified as Paul David Ley-Harris, 47, of Lower Providence Township, a New Jersey native.

Shooting Witnessed From Across The Street

The violence erupted around 4:46 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, near 3905 Ridge Pike, across from Austin’s Beverage. Two witnesses — including Richard Sitek, an employee at the store — told police they saw Antrim fire four rounds into Ley-Harris without warning.

Ley-Harris was reportedly going to the ground when he was hit again. "At first, he was in a seated position, and then ultimately ended up on his back," Sitek told investigators, according to the affidavit. Both witnesses said the shooter never spoke a word, and Ley-Harris showed no weapon or signs of aggression.

One cartridge casing was found on the victim’s chest, and first responder Officer Cherelle Cutting immediately began CPR. Ley-Harris was taken to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

Antrim Changes Clothes, Caught With Glock

A manhunt ensued, and Officer Niles Luong spotted Antrim walking near Crosskeys Road — now wearing a red tank top and carrying a black backpack, not the dark hoodie and pants described by witnesses. Detectives later obtained surveillance video showing Antrim changing into the red shirt and ditching the hoodie post-shooting.

He was arrested without incident. A Glock 43 9mm handgun, loaded and registered to him but without a valid permit to carry, was tucked in his waistband. His black backpack was also recovered and processed for evidence.

Robbery Motive Revealed On SEPTA Bus Video

Video from SEPTA Route 93 shows Antrim and Ley-Harris seated directly across from each other. Ley-Harris is seen going through his wallet in plain sight of Antrim before returning it to his pants pocket.

Minutes later, the same witnesses saw the shooter go through Ley-Harris’ pants pockets after the shooting and take something. When police recovered the body, Ley-Harris' wallet was gone.

Suspect Claims Memory Loss

In an interview, Antrim told detectives he had taken the SEPTA bus after visiting his grandmother in Pottstown, intending to go to Norristown, but got off early, lit a Newport cigarette, and claimed he didn’t remember anything after that. He said the man across from him on the bus had “spittle between his lips” and was making him uncomfortable but denied any interaction.

Medical Examiner Confirms Homicide

An autopsy was conducted on Sunday, May 18 by forensic pathologist Dr. Ian Hood, who determined Ley-Harris died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled the manner of death as homicide.

Antrim’s preliminary arraignment was held before Judge Henry J. Schireson. Bail was denied, and Antrim was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 29.
