PA Man Distraught By Coronavirus Shoots Woman, Kills Himself
A Pennsylvania man who recently lost his job and was becoming increasingly upset by the coronavirus crisis shot his girlfriend in the back as she fled -- then he killed himself, reports say. Roderick Bliss, 38, of Wilson Borough, shot the 43-year-old woman in the back around 1:20 p.m. Monday outside his apartment on N. 17th Street, LehighValley Live reports. Authorities found a semiautomatic pistol nearby and the woman, who was conscious and alert, told officers Bliss shot her, the report says. Warren County Man Who Took Fatal Fall Also Tested Positive For Coronavirus, Advisory Says
A Warren County man who died in a Pennsylvania hospital after suffering a head injury in a fall at home also tested positive for COVID-19, officials said. The 61-year-old Washington Borough man died at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill Friday night, NJ.com reports. The patient’s primary cause of death was a head injury from a fall, but COVID-19 is also listed as a “contributing factor,” according to a release from Lehigh County Coroner Eric Minnich. The patient, along with a 60-year-old man recovering at home, are the first two COVID-19 cases reported in Washington Borough. …

A fourth member of a New Jersey family connected to the state's first coronavirus fatality died Thursday. Vincent Fusco passed away at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, the same hospital where his mother, 73-year-old family matriarch Grace Fusco, died of the virus a day earlier.
